“Fast-paced, written beautifully, with all the color and movement of the times. The author is amazing, a true polymath,” says an enthusiastic reviewer of Christine Osborne’s new memoir Travels with My Hat on Amazon.com
Indeed, Osborne is a true polymath. A former teacher, graduate nurse and Club Mediterrannee hostess, she has travelled the world as a photojournalist and written about her adventures in numerous books and travel guides. She has received the Pacific Area Travel Association awards for articles on South East Asia and Burma, as it was once known.
Christine is available as a speaker for public or private events, clubs, schools and libraries. Her presentation is generally a 30 minute lecture accompanied by striking photographs. Having visited so many countries during her career there are always current events that she can discuss with an audience—providing background information and her personal experiences—making for lively Q&A sessions.
